CACNA doesn't hold its own Sunday services — it exists to connect the member churches that do. From a handful of congregations to a regional family spanning three countries, every CACNA zone has its own local church, pastor, and gathering.
What ties them together is one shared mandate, one Gospel, and one shepherd — Zonal Superintendents leading local congregations, all part of a movement that stretches back to Nigeria in 1918.

Our Story
As Christ Apostolic Church member churches took root across the United States, Canada, and South America, CACNA was formed to unite them under one regional body — organized today into 24 Zones & DCCs (District Church Councils), each led by a Zonal Superintendent.

As CAC member churches were planted across the United States, Canada, and South America, CACNA emerged to give this growing family a shared structure — 24 Zones & DCCs (District Church Councils), each shepherded by a Zonal Superintendent, all under one regional leadership.
Every July, the family gathers as one at the Annual Convention — CAC Village, Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania — for six days of worship, teaching, and fellowship, onsite and online.

A movement born in 1918.
Christ Apostolic Church is a distinctly indigenous Pentecostal church, with roots tracing back to 1918 — a gathering of forefathers including Oba/Pastor Isaac Babalola Akinyele, Pastor David Ogunleye Odubanjo, Joseph Sadare, and Miss Sophia Odunlami. From 1918 to 1928, the founders called their group Faith Tabernacle, later known as the Precious Stone or Diamond Society, establishing 12 units across Nigeria.
Evangelist (later Apostle) Joseph Ayodele Babalola joined the group in October 1928, and his ministry led to the Great Revival of 1930 at Oke Ooye, Ilesa — a turning point that spread the church across Nigeria. Over time, the group took the name “Apostolic Church,” then “Nigerian Apostolic Church” (1939), then “United Apostolic Church” (1942), before God revealed the name it carries today: Christ Apostolic Church, registered on May 4, 1943.
In the decades since, the Church has planted Bible training colleges — including at Iperu and Ilesa — a theological seminary at Ijebu-Ife, and grammar schools across Nigeria, and today operates Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State. Over a little more than six decades, Christ Apostolic Church has grown from a small band of persecuted believers into a denomination with many millions of adherents across the world — CACNA is proud to carry this same heritage across the United States, Canada, and South America.
